BookPALS
BookPALS is a literacy based program which provides an opportunity for performing artists to volunteer time and talents for the cause of literacy. Professional actors visit public elementary schools in local neighborhoods to read aloud to children every week. The world of literacy and literature is then opened to these children by the very people who can make books come alive through their talent and training. Currently, BookPALS is encouraging young performing artists who are interested in participating in the program as a reader, to contact them. In addition, this excellent program has many activities children. All resources are free. |
